Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how GameDay (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our website and our browser extension (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1) What we collect
- Page interactions in the new tab. Non-personal usage signals (e.g., which filters you toggle) may be processed to render fixtures and improve UX.
- Favorites & preferences (optional). Teams, leagues, and settings you choose are stored locally in your browser so the dashboard can personalize your view.
- Device & technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, date/time, user-agent, referrer) for security and reliability when you visit our website.
- Support messages. If you contact us, we collect the information you provide (e.g., email, message content).
- Cookies/identifiers. Only essential cookies/identifiers used to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and remember basic preferences. We do not use them to profile you across sites.
We do not create user accounts and the extension does not track your browsing history across websites.
2) How we use information
- Provide the Service (show fixtures, live info, and shortcuts)
- Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and debug issues
- Measure and improve performance and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
We rely on legitimate interests (operating a sports dashboard and keeping it secure), performance of a contract (providing what you request), and consent where required (e.g., non-essential cookies, if used).
4) Sharing & disclosures
- Service providers: Hosting/CDN, analytics limited to operations, and security providers that help us run the Service (bound by confidentiality obligations).
- Legal & safety: Where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We do not sell your personal information.
5) Retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Local preferences (like favorites) remain in your browser until you clear them or remove the extension.
6) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method is 100% secure; please keep your devices and connections safe.
7) International transfers
We may process and store information outside your country (including the UK, EEA, and US). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
8) Your rights
EEA/UK residents may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt-out of certain sharing, and to non-discrimination. To exercise rights, email privacy@gameday24.com. We may need to verify your identity.
9) Do Not Track
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track.” We currently do not respond to DNT signals.
10) Children
The Service is intended for users who are at least the age of majority in their country (and not for children under 16). If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
11) Third-party sites
The Service may link to third-party sites/services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; review them before use.
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when changes were made. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
